Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Universal Champion, but he hasn’t defended his title since the No Mercy pay-per-view in September. Lesnar did appear the Survivor Series pay-per-view where he wrestled WWE Champion AJ Styles, but the two stars faced off in a non-title match.
There’s been a lot of talk recently in regards to what WWE officials are planning for Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and whether or not he’ll end up defending his title at the event.
With Royal Rumble being a co-branded event, and Elimination Chamber being a Raw exclusive event, that leaves only two more opportunities for Brock to possibly defend his title on pay-per-view before WrestleMania.
However, at this point in time it’s unclear if Brock will even appear at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view as he’s not currently being advertised for the event.
Lesnar is not being advertised for the pay-per-view on WWE.com and the T-Mobile Arena posted the following description for the event which doesn’t mention Lesnar:
“The WWE Elimination Chamber event will air live on Pay-Per-View from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018. Fans will have the opportunity to see WWE Raw Superstars battle inside 10 tons of unforgiving steel. Head to the Las Vegas Strip to see Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, The Miz and many more fan favorite WWE Superstars.”
It should be noted that even though he’s not currently advertised for Elimination Chamber, Brock’s status could change in the weeks to come.
Elimination Chamber will be the last Raw exclusive pay-per-view before WrestleMania, so if Brock doesn’t defend his title at the event, perhaps there will be an Elimination Chamber match to determine his challenger for WrestleMania. But of course that all depends on who wins the Royal Rumble.
