Originally Brock Lesnar was set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at the Day 1 pay-per-view on Saturday night, but unfortunately Roman Reigns tested positive for COVID-19 and he had to be pulled from the event.
Brock Lesnar was then added to the WWE Championship match, and he faced off against Big E, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley in a fatal 5 way match at Day 1.
Early in the match Bobby Lashley set his sights on Brock Lesnar and he speared him through the barricade to take him out of the match. Eventually Lesnar caught a second wind a delivered a series of F5s to the other competitors.
The end of the match came when Bobby Lashley locked in the Hurt Lock on Lesnar, but Big E broke it up. Big E hit Lashley with the Big Ending, then he went for the Big Ending on Lesnar, but Lesnar reversed it into a F5 and pinned him to win the belt.
