Brock Lesnar made his triumphant return to UFC earlier this year, and he defeated Mark Hunt in his first match in several years. After his victory it was revealed that Brock Lesnar had failed two U.S. Anti-Doping Association tests, and now he has been suspended from the UFC for one year.
Brock Lesnar failed one out of competition test on June 28 and one in competition test on the day of UFC 200 on July 9. According to MMAFighting.com he failed for the anti-estrogenic agent Hydroxy-clomiphene.
In addition to his suspension, Brock Lesnar will be fined $250,000 by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Although Brock Lesnar won his fight against Mark Hunt by unanimous decision, it has now been ruled a no contest. If he chooses to, Brock Lesnar will be able to return to the UFC in 2017.
Although Brock Lesnar has been suspended from UFC, and fined, it seems unlikely that these events will have an impact on his status with WWE, as the company didn’t have much to say about Brock’s failed tests when the news first broke a few months ago.
Brock Lesnar has already been confirmed for the 2017 Royal Rumble, and it’s rumored that his feud with Bill Goldberg will culminate with another match at WrestleMania 33 in April.
