On Saturday the stars of WWE competed at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, and the WWE Championship was defended in the main event. Bobby Lashley walked into the match with the gold, but the champion was pulled from the main event after Seth Rollins powerbombed Austin Theory into Lashley’s pod while Bobby was still inside.
When it came time for Bobby Lashley’s pod to open so he could enter the match Lashley wasn’t inside the pod, so Brock Lesnar took it upon himself to smash through the chamber door so he could enter the match early.
PWInsider reports that Brock Lesnar smashing through the door was legitimate and was not a planned spot in the match. It was also noted that the spot that took Bobby Lashley out of the match was planned.
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will now go on to face Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a champion vs. champion match at WrestleMania 38. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
