It looks like UFC 200 could be a huge show because according to MMAFighting.com, Brock Lesnar could be fighting at the event on July 9th. It’s being reported that both sides are close to finalizing a deal and Lesnar’s return to MMA could be announced imminently.
This seems like it could potentially be a history making situation if a deal does get worked out considering that Brock Lesnar is currently under contract with WWE. The company normally doesn’t allow their talent to work MMA while under contract, but as we’ve all seen before nothing is normal when it comes to Brock Lesnar.
Brock Lesnar signed a new WWE deal last year after WrestleMania 31 and there were a lot of rumors leading up to the signing. Brock considered a return to MMA but ultimately decided to stay with UFC. It sounds like if a deal really can be worked out he may be able to get the best of both worlds.
Brock Lesnar retired from MMA with a 5 – 3 record in 2011 and over the years he’s said several times that he feels like he has unfinished business in the octagon. Lesnar unfortunately had to end his career early due to health complications caused by diverticulitis.
