Brock Lesnar has been in the professional wrestling business for decades now and throughout the course of his career he’s faced off against some of the biggest names the industry has to offer.
On the road to Survivor Series in 2017, Brock Lesnar was the Universal Champion, and it seemed that he was lining up for a match with Jinder Mahal who was the WWE Champion at the time. However, shortly before the pay-per-view WWE decided to change course and give the WWE Championship to AJ Styles.
WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg recently opened up about the title change on The Wrestling Outlaws and he noted that Brock Lesnar refused to work with Jinder Mahal.
“So yeah, Brock [Lesnar] said, ‘I’m not working with him [Jinder Mahal].’ He said that about several people by the way.”
Road Dogg also discussed Mahal dropping the WWE Championship to AJ Styles in the UK while saying that he thought it was a cool moment for the fans.
“I think from a buzz standpoint, it was a cool moment to have. AJ [Styles] had just gotten there not too long ago. And I think it was a cool moment for, ‘Okay, like, Brock [Lesnar] can beat this guy.”
