Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles went to war Sunday night at Survivor Series, and the match surprised a lot of people. Lesnar took AJ Styles to Suplex City pretty early in the match, and it took AJ a little while, but eventually he was able to mount some offense against The Beast.

AJ managed to take control of the match by focusing on Brock Lesnar’s legs, and near the end of the match Lesnar’s leg started to look weak.

Brock limped his way up the ramp, and the Universal Champion continued to limp backstage leading to some thinking he may have been legitimately injured. However, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Brock was simply selling, and he wanted everyone to think he was injured.

“Brock was even selling it backstage,” Meltzer said. “I had people going like, ‘He’s really hurt.’ Which he wasn’t. But he wanted everyone to think he was.”

Now that Survivor Series has come and gone, Brock Lesnar’s next opponent has yet to be announced. The stars of Raw and SmackDown Live will now go back to fighting other wrestlers on their respective rosters, and with Clash of Champions being a SmackDown pay-per-view it’s possible Lesnar won’t wrestle again until the Royal Rumble in January.
