UPDATE: Sylvester Stallone’s big announcement was that Stephen Caple Jr will be directing “Creed 2.” He posted the following: “The character of Adonis Creed reflects this generation, and I believe it is important to have a director who is part of it , that is why I think we are Lucky to have Stephen Caple ,Jr A wonderful new talent take over The directorial chores and make the story as relatable as possible… He and Michael B Jordon will deliver a knockout!”
When you’re talking about Brock Lesnar one word that springs to most people’s mind is the term “part-timer.” Although some might view this label as a slight on Lesnar and his ability, in all reality it allows him to pursue many other ventures. It’s actually a pretty prestigious role to have with WWE to get paid great money and work such a reduced schedule.
WWE has been the launching pad for plenty of people before as they set out to make a bigger name for themselves in the entertainment business. The Rock, John Cena, Batista, even guys like Hulk Hogan and Jesse Ventura before them have all ventured out into Hollywood to see what the Tinsel Town has in store for them. Now it looks like you might be able to add Brock Lesnar’s name to that list soon enough.
The Rocky franchise has been a wildly successful set of films centered around pro boxing since 1976. The films starred Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa for years and a new generation is being treated to Creed. But the feel of the films are still very much the same.
Ivan Drago was a big mean Russian dude from Rocky IV and it looks like Creed 2 is going to feature a man playing his son, Victor Drago. Therefore, a casting call was sent out a few weeks ago searching for people who could play the role of Victor Drago in Creed 2.
Now the internet is buzzing after Sylvester Stallone posted a photoshopped picture of himself with Brock Lesnar which you can see below promising that a very big announcement is on the way.
Although it looks like there could be some time to get things together in regards to finalizing casting, Brock Lesnar appears to be a favorite by many to play the big, bad Russain’s son for the upcoming Creed film. After all, as Stallone’s post said, “big challenges come in all shapes and forms” and there’s nobody with a form like The Beast Incarnate.
