Brie Bella On WWE Possibly Letting Daniel Bryan Return To The Ring

Daniel Bryan was forced to retire from in-ring activity in WWE almost two years ago when it was revealed that WWE’s medical staff refused to clear him for a return, despite his own doctors deciding that he was physically able.

Over the past year, Bryan has been part of the SmackDown Live brand as the General Manager but has also echoed the feelings that he will return to the independent circuit next year when his WWE contract runs out because all he wants to do is wrestle.

Bryan’s wife, Brie Bella recently appeared on former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia’s podcast Chasing Glory where she talked about Bryan’s career and she reiterated the fact that Daniel Bryan has been cleared by several doctors.

“It’s been like 8 doctors who have been like ‘You can wrestle.’ They don’t see what the issue is. He’s just waiting for the WWE doctor. But other than that Bryan’s brain looks amazing. Because of that a lot of doctors don’t see why he can’t get in that ring again.”

Lilian Garcia then asked if WWE’s doctors would be willing to communicate with the doctors that have cleared Bryan, and she noted that it’s something they’re considering.

“I think they are looking at it and I think that’s why he’s been really vocal lately. But I think they are willing to look at it, and see, what is it the other doctors are seeing.”

Brie said that Bryan’s brain looks great, so hopefully WWE officials will at least consider looking at the results from the tests he’s had done with doctors outside of the company.

Bryan’s General Manager character seems to be going through something of a change right now and hopefully that could lead to a match next year before Bryan’s contract runs out.
