Tyler Breeze and Fandango are one of the most entertaining parts of SmackDown Live for some people. Their Fashion Files segments are thrilling week to week and for some reason the long-running segment on WWE television just can’t seem to get old.
Breezango recently sat down with Chris Jericho on his Talk Is Jericho podcast to discuss a whole slew of subjects including how they got their name and it turned into a rather humorous story about something Dango learned while making towns and drinking in Europe.
“I think we were thinking ‘Febreze’ right out the gate,” Fandango said revealing the original name they wanted to use for their team. “Trying to get some free Febreze to spray our gear down but I think, it was straight from Vince right?”
“Yeah,” Tyler Breeze replied. “[Vince McMahon] loved the name so you know what? We loved it too.”
Fandango said he assumed copyrights might have been the reason why Breeze and Dango didn’t get to use the same name as a popular air freshener for their team.
Chris Jericho cut in saying, “you know who’s a big Febreze user is Kane.”
“I would take disinfectant spray on European tours with me,” Fandango continued, “and i would spray it all down in my gear after matches when I would remember to take them out of my bag if I wasn’t drinking that night which would happen […] so when I would remember to bring my gear out of my bag to spray it down I was spraying my gear down with disinfectant [spray] but what I didn’t realize is that you’re not supposed to spray that on your skin.”
“So — you spray your couch down or whatever when your dogs pee on it, but you’re not supposed to spray it down and then rub it against your crotch or your legs after — if you’re wearing long tights,” Fandango said. “So I was getting little red dots all over my legs when I’m getting back from these Europe tours like ‘what the hell?’ Then my girl’s like ‘you can’t spray this on you — you’re getting back to your hotel room and dosing it and racing down to catering to drink’… so you know if I remember to take it out I’m just spraying it down… so yeah, Febreze would have been a lot better.”
Chris Jericho then asked them who had the smelliest ring gear and without much thought Dango replied: “Feed Me More.” Apparently Ryback has really sweaty hands and his gloves got to be somewhat of a problem.
