The wrestling world has unfortunately lost another great as Triple H confirmed on Thursday that Bray Wyatt had passed away. The former WWE Champion had been off TV for months due to an illness, but details regarding the illness were unknown.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful recently reported that Bray Wyatt (real name Windham Rotunda) got COVID earlier this year which led to some heart issues. It was noted that there was positive progress in regard to his recovery, but he passed away after suffering a heart attack.
“I was given permission to reveal that earlier this year Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) got COVID that exacerbated a heart issues.
There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery. Unfortunately today he suffered a heart attack and passed away.”
Following Bray Wyatt’s family WWE has committed to donating all net proceeds from his merchandise sales to Wyatt’s family. WWE added the following description to all Bray Wyatt merchandise on WWE Shop:
“In the wake of Bray Wyatt’s death, WWE will donate all net proceeds to support JoJo Offerman and Bray’s children.”
