Coming out of Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings there were reports that Rusev had suffered some sort of leg injury during his match with Ryback. He was reportedly helped to the back by trainers and a recent photo of him in a wheelchair at the airport seems to back these reports up.
Rusev was also reportedly trying to downplay the injuries telling people that he was ok. As of right now Rusev is still scheduled for the Intercontinental Championship match Sunday at Elimination Chamber but the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that there’s talk he may be replaced by Bray Wyatt if he can’t compete.
