Vince McMahon and Company have built a billion-dollar business around their marquee names but it isn’t all about money in the end, because if they don’t have their top Superstars then there’s not much of a business. A WWE Superstar’s health and well being is the most important thing to WWE as it should be but if you know anything about the passion a WWE Superstar holds then you’re well aware that it takes a lot to pry someone from the road.
It looks like Braun Strowman’s situation must have been serious enough to warrant him going home because WWE took the Monster Among Men off the tour on Thursday night to miss the rest of this week’s holiday tour. The extent of his illness isn’t yet known, but WWE needs to take illnesses seriously, especially considering how they recently had a viral infection break out before TLC this year which really threw a monkey wrench into the apparently snake-bit return of The Shield.
PW Insider reports Strowman took part in the first two events of the tour, but he was sent home due to illness. Let’s hope Braun Strowman can rest up and get better after receiving the proper medical treatment.
This is a time when Braun Strowman really needs to be making towns and preparing to smash the Road To WrestleMania wide open. Seeing how Strowman was barely factored into WrestleMania 33 after experiencing a pretty good run before the Road To WrestleMania started last year, WWE needs to give him a little bit better treatment this year.
However, it doesn’t sound like Strowman was in any shape to perform this week which is why he was sent home. There is still no word if Braun Strowman will still be making the New Year’s Day Raw but we can only hope he’ll be better in time.
