Braun Strowman is the Monster Among Men, and he’s had a great year in 2017. Braun has been involved in some huge matches, and at TLC he teamed up with The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro and Kane to take on Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Kurt Angle.
During the match, things went bad between Kane and Strowman, and they ended up battling each other. One thing led to another, and eventually Braun Strowman was taken out of the match completely when he was thrown into a garbage truck.
A few weeks later the Monster Among Men finally got out of the garbage truck when he returned to Raw.
Strowman recently spoke to With Spandex about the garbage truck ordeal, and he admitted that the experience was actually pretty terrifying.
“That was actually terrifying. I never thought to myself I was claustrophobic or anything, but being in the back of that and knowing I literally had split seconds to per se get out of the way of the compactor from being crushed, it was a little nerve-wracking. All these crazy stunts and stuff that I do, the boss pitches a lot of them to me and I don’t really worry that much, because I know he would never ask me to do anything that he wouldn’t do himself. At the end of the day I feel comfortable doing it, because we have an unbelievable special effects team and stunt crew on hand and stuff like that, and safety is the first and foremost thought in their mind when we’re going through all this stuff. So at the end of the day I feel safe doing it, but it’s still a little nerve-wracking being in the back of a garbage truck with the potential of being crushed.”
Luckily Strowman made it through the garbage truck spot unscathed, and it ended up becoming one of his more memorable moments in 2017.
Braun Strowman certainly maximized his minutes this year, so he’ll definitely be one of the WWE Superstars to keep an eye on in 2018.
