Over the last few months fans have seen quite a few names get released from WWE, and it was rumored recently that some major cuts could be coming.
Today WWE shocked the world when it was announced that former Universal Champion Braun Strowman had been released, along with Aleister Black, Lana, Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett.
The company posted the following announcement confirming the releases:
“WWE has come to terms on the releases of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett. WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors.”
The recent releases are reportedly due to budget cuts. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
