Braun Strowman Destroys Kane On Raw, Update On Brock Lesnar’s Royal Rumble Opponent

2017 is almost over, which means we’re only a few weeks from the annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view. At the Royal Rumble Superstars from both Raw and SmackDown Live will fight for the chance to headline WrestleMania, and it looks like the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will also be defending his title at the event.

Over the past few weeks there’s been a lot of talk about who could end up challenging Brock for the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble, and even though Finn Balor has been teasing a match with Lesnar for most of the year, it doesn’t look like he’s going to be getting his shot.

Kane vs. Braun Strowman was announced for this week’s episode of Raw, and on Monday it was announced that the winner of the match would go on to the Royal Rumble to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

The Monster Among Men faced off against the Big Red Machine in the main event of Raw, and Braun Strowman dominated Kane for several minutes before Kane managed to make a comeback and hit a chokeslam.

Kane hit Strowman with another chokeslam, but he kicked out. Kane went for a third chokeslam but Strowman countered with a chokeslam of his own.

The action then spilled to the outside, and after Braun rammed Kane through the barricade, both men were counted out and the match ended in a draw.

Kane and Strowman continued to fight in and out of the ring, and after the brawl went on for several minutes Braun Strowman set up a table and put Kane through it with a running powerslam to end the show.

Raw ended with no decision regarding who will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
