WrestleMania 19 was a stacked show that included some instant classics on the card. To this day fans still talk about Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels, and of course Triple H vs. Booker T.
The Triple H vs. Booker T match has become infamous as many fans feel that Triple H defeating Booker on the Grandest Stage of Them All was the wrong call. People still argue that Booker T should have won and during a recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast Booker noted that it was Triple H who suggested he do the Harlem Hangover.
“Hunter and I had a lot of back and forth as far as what was gonna be done in that match. I did the Harlem Hangover in that match, and Hunter called for it.”
As far as his reaction to the big loss goes, Booker T added that he doesn’t look back on that match negatively, and he didn’t get into wrestling to win matches.
“I don’t look back negatively on that match at all really. Do I wish I had won that match? That’s the question. It’s a really tough question because I never got in the business to win matches.”
