Even though David Otunga officially became part of the Raw commentary team, fans haven’t seen him sitting at the Raw announce booth because he’s busy filming a movie. Instead WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has been filling in for Otunga, and most people seem to agree that he’s been doing a pretty good job.
Otunga has been away from WWE for a few weeks now. He did appear at Extreme Rules to work the kickoff show on the WWE Network, but he didn’t work the main show. Otunga was only at the pay-per-view because he had the day off from filming his movie.
Booker T was originally just a fill in for David Otunga, but the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports it’s been acknowledged that Booker is a better fit for the role. Otunga is expected to return in a few weeks, so when he’s ready to come back WWE will have an important decision to make.
