It’s certainly an interesting time to be a professional wrestler, as there are quite a few free agents on the market right now.
Impact Wrestling recently stripped Tessa Blanchard of the Impact World Championship, and it was also confirmed that the company terminated her contract.
Now fans are waiting to see where Tessa Blanchard might go next, and it’s been reported that WWE is interested in her.
Booker T made it clear on his Hall of Fame podcast that he thinks a move to WWE would be good for Blanchard.
“If WWE picked Tessa Blanchard up along with Charlotte Flair? I wish Hogan’s daughter had stayed in there because that’s what I want to see: the second generation with all women. To be able to slide right in there, she’s gonna be a star immediately. We’re gonna get a chance to see how good Tessa Blanchard really is.”
At this point it hasn’t been reported that AEW is interested in Tessa, but Booker T noted that he thinks she would just be a big fish in a small pond if she signed with All Elite Wrestling.
“I think in AEW she’ll be a huge fish in a small pond. I think for Tessa Blanchard to go out there and put a stamp on the business, she’s gonna have to go to WWE. She’s gonna have to go there and perform at the highest level under the brightest lights to become as great as I think she wants to be.”
