You can never say never in the world of professional wrestling and CM Punk proved that back in November when he shocked the world by returning to WWE at Survivor Series. Since making his return to the company CM Punk has been spending time at the WWE Performance Center helping out some of the up and comers in NXT.
Booker T recently talked about what it’s been like having CM Punk around NXT on his Hall of Fame podcast, and he said that Punk has been very refreshing since making his return.
“Punk is making his rounds. I was reading Punk said he would maybe be thinking of being the successor of Shawn Michaels one day when Shawn Michaels stepped down at NXT. That’s the vibe he’s getting. I was reading that. Punk seemed to enjoy it. He’s been down there every time I’ve been to work. ‘What are you doing here?’ He’s been very refreshing. It’s been a different CM Punk. CM Punk said this time around, it’s not about him, it’s about the fans.”
CM Punk recently declared that he will be entering the 2024 Royal Rumble and he also signed a contract making him exclusive to the Monday Night Raw brand. Punk will be returning to the ring soon as he’s currently scheduled to face Dominik Mysterio at the WWE live event at Madison Square Garden on December 26.
