Earlier this month all eyes were on the Los Angeles area as some big events took place over WrestleMania week. The stars of NXT got their chance to shine at Stand & Deliver where Bron Breakker defended the NXT Championship against Carmelo Hayes.
In the end it was Carmelo Hayes who walked out with the gold as he defeated Bron Breakker. Even though the match featured a big title change Booker T only gave it a six out of ten, and he shared his take on the match during a recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast.
“Did they go out there and perform? Yes, they did but I just thought they [were] walking their way through it [as] opposed to trying to feel their way through it … I thought they did a good job, but on a scale of one to ten, I give it a six.”
“When they both came out, the fans really didn’t cheer for Bron. They really didn’t cheer for Carmelo. It seems like they were torn in some weird way because you would think they would’ve wanted to cheer for one of them.”
