For a number of months Rusev, Lana and Bobby Lashley were involved in one of the top storylines on Monday Night Raw, and the storyline got a lot of people talking for a number of reasons.
Eventually the angle died down, and Bobby Lashley was still paired with Lana, but lately him and Lana seem to be drifting apart on WWE TV. It’s been teased that Lashley could be forming a partnership with MVP, and now Bobby seems to be moving into the main event.
During a recent interview with talkSPORT Bobby Lashley was asked about Lana’s status as his manager, as well as his thoughts on Rusev parting ways with WWE, and he had nothing but good things to say about them.
“I really don’t know anything with Lana, I just know this: whatever anybody says, she is an extremely talented person. No matter where they put her, she’s going to blossom. If it’s staying with me or if it’s doing something else, she’s going to do awesome.”
“And with Rusev, you know how it is in this business, people come and people go. But with Rusev, I don’t think anyone is debating this: Rusev is an incredible talent. I loved working with him, [a] great guy across the board. I don’t know what transpired with that – with him leaving – don’t really know. But if it’s back with the WWE or wherever he goes, he’s going to be a superstar. The guy is a superstar.”
Bobby Lashley will challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at Backlash, which is set to air on the WWE Network on Sunday, June 14.
