When Bobby Lashley turned heel he was given a manager in the form of Lio Rush, and Rush quickly created a buzz for Lashley due to his incessant talking.
Lio Rush would run his mouth on Monday Night Raw, and he was seemingly trying to be as obnoxious as possible.
The pairing seemed to work as Lio and Lashley were getting some major heat, but then they were inexplicably broken up. Bobby Lashley recently spoke to Sports Illustrated about working with Lio Rush, and he noted that one of the reasons why WWE broke them up is because their act was working too well.
“I thought Lio was amazing. Part of the reason why me and Lio were taken apart was because it was working out too well. We weren’t bad guys. People liked what we were doing, and we started having a lot of fun with it. I don’t know why it was pulled, it was pulled for whatever reason.”
