For months Sami Zayn was one of the key members in The Bloodline, but his run with the group came to an end at the Royal Rumble premium live event in January. In the weeks that followed Jey Uso was conflicted as he was forced to choose between Sami Zayn and his family.
Last week on Monday Night Raw, Jey Uso made his choice when he hit Sami Zayn with a superkick and made it clear that he’s sticking with The Bloodline. On the most recent episode of SmackDown, Jey Uso said that he chose The Bloodline over Sami Zayn because they’re his family and Sami isn’t.
After the show on SmackDown Lowdown, Jey Uso continued to taunt Sami by issuing a challenge when he said, “Sami Zayn. Hey Sami. Next week, I’m gonna see you in the middle of that ring, Uce. So, pull up.”
In addition to Jey Uso’s challenge to Sami, WWE has also confirmed that Sheamus and Drew McIntyre will face off on SmackDown to determine who will challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 39. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
