The last few months have been chaotic for Blake Monroe to say the least. She lost the NXT Women’s North American Championship to Thea Hail, and it was later reported that the title change was unplanned.
Originally Blake was supposed to get her rematch at New Year’s Evil this week, but the match didn’t end up happening as Blake attacked Thea Hail ahead of their match which led to NXT General Manager Ava banning her from the building.
It’s clear that tensions between Blake Monroe and Ava have reached a boiling point, and Blake expressed her frustration when she posted a tweet directed at Ava which said, “Don’t make me call daddy, you power-tripping nepo baby b***h.”
The tweet has since been deleted, but a screenshot can be seen below.
After her scheduled match with Blake was canceled, Thea Hail went on to hold an open challenge which was answered by Izzi Dame. Hail put up a good fight, but ultimately Izzi Dame walked out with the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
