Jeff Hardy and his brother Matt returned to WWE back in 2017 when they won the Raw Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 33, but Jeff’s run with the company recently came to an end when he was released back in December.
Everyone is waiting to see where Jeff Hardy might end up next, but it’s looking pretty unlikely that The Charismatic Enigma will be part of WrestleMania 38 in April.
Sami Zayn recently signed a new contract with WWE, and during a recent appearance on Les anti-pods de la lutte Sami revealed that he pitched an idea that would have seen him face Jeff Hardy in a ladder match at Mania.
“I had spoken with creative about a storyline with Jeff Hardy. Jeff was one of my heroes when I was a teenager. He was one of my biggest inspirations when I started. My idea was to have a ladder match against him at WrestleMania. I had a big storyline planned in my head, but unfortunately, two weeks after speaking with creative about it, he was fired.”
It was recently reported that John Laurinaitis contacted Jeff Hardy with an offer to return to WWE. The offer reportedly included a Hall of Fame induction but Jeff turned it down. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
