Everybody’s talking about John Cena’s path to WrestleMania right now, and how it’s all going to shake out. It’s been rumored for months that Cena is being lined up for a match with The Undertaker, and he got fans excited when he mentioned Taker on Raw a few days ago.
But then the speculation regarding Cena’s match went wild as it was reported that Rey Mysterio was in talks for a match with Cena at WrestleMania 34.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that The Undertaker vs. John Cena was still the plan when John cut his promo on Raw, and it looks like nothing has been changed in that regard.
It’s being reported that the only way Cena vs. Taker will change is if Taker gets hurt while he’s training, or decides to pull out of the show for some reason.
Mysterio currently has no deal with WWE, but he is scheduled to meet with Triple H soon to discuss a new deal.
Rey Mysterio is doesn’t want to work full time, so he’s looking for a different type of deal. He was in attendance for the SmackDown house show on 2/26, but it’s said that all of the key people he would have talked to about a deal were likely at Raw that night.
Mysterio is still scheduled to work the NJPW Strong Style Evolved event in Long Beach, California on 3/25.
