A few weeks ago Kevin Owens was written off TV so he could undergo knee surgery, and the former Universal Champion confirmed earlier this week that he actually underwent double knee surgery.
Dave Meltzer recently discussed KO’s status, and he noted that WWE officials are hopeful he’ll be able to return in late February or early March (via Ringside News).
“The damage in his left knee is worse than expected but they’re hopeful late February or early March return. so that’s the timetable for what it is. He didn’t have full-blown reconstructive surgery on either of his knees but it was serious — his left knee especially.”
If Owens does return in February or March, that would at least give him time to get into the mix before WrestleMania, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
