Big Update On How Long Dean Ambrose Will Be Out Of Action

Dean Ambrose has been on a roll for the last few months, but now it looks like he could end up spending the better part of a year sitting on the sidelines due to injury.

Ambrose recently underwent surgery to repair a triceps tendon injury, and Monday night on Raw, Michael Cole announced that Ambrose is set to be out of action for nine months. WWE.com also reports that, “The Lunatic Fringe will be out of action for approximately nine months.”

“He tore some of the distal triceps tendon where it attaches to the forearm bone, called the olecranon,” Dr. Dugas told WWE.com. “He basically tore about 50 percent of the triceps tendon away from the bone. So yesterday we repaired that back down to the bone where it tore off of. The surgery was very straightforward; we removed all of the extra bursal tissue — all of that extra swollen stuff around his elbow.”

If Dean Ambrose is indeed out of action for nine months, then that would be quite unfortunate as he would miss WrestleMania.

Ambrose did undergo surgery, so he’s clearly injured, but some fans don’t seem to be convinced that he’s going to be out of action for approximately nine months.

Either way, we wish Dean Ambrose the best and hope that he’ll be able to return to the ring sooner than later.
