The annual WWE SummerSlam premium live event featured some huge matches and a number of titles were defended throughout the show. Sami Zayn defended his Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker, and Bron defeated Zayn to win the title for the first time in his career.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Jey Uso ran into Sami Zayn backstage and he told Sami that he’s going to bounce back following his loss to Bron Breakker at SummerSlam. Sami said that he doesn’t know, and this time it just feels different.
Uso told Zayn that he needs to get a rematch with Bron Breakker. Sami’s mood changed and he started smiling as he told Jey Uso that he talked to Adam Pearce who confirmed that he’ll be getting a shot at the Intercontinental Championship when he faces Bron Breakker on Raw next week.
Jey congratulated Sami then said that they have unfinished business with The Judgment Day. Jey indicated that he wants to team up with Sami and chase the tag titles when he told Sami that after he wins the Intercontinental Championship, and they go after The Judgment Day, Sami will be a double champion. After the commercial break it was announced that Sami vs. Bron will be a two out of three falls match.
