The Usos and The New Day have been feuding over the SmackDown Tag Team Titles ever since The New Day were drafted to SmackDown Live in the Superstar Shake-Up earlier this year, and their rivalry has been intense.
They’ve traded the titles back and forth, and The New Day recently defeated The Usos to win the belts once again in a Sin City Street Fight in Las Vegas on SmackDown Live a few weeks ago.
The two teams took their rivalry to the next level on Sunday night when they faced off in a Hell in a Cell match with the SmackDown Tag Team Titles on the line, and the title match kicked off the show.
This time around it was Big E and Xavier Woods who defended the belts on behalf of The New Day at Hell in a Cell, and things quickly got brutal as both teams took the action outside of the ring and busted out kendo sticks.
At one point The Usos hit a Doomsday Device like move as one of The Usos propped Big E up on their shoulders outside the ring and the other did a suicide dive through the ropes then drove Big E right into the Hell in a Cell.
The Usos followed up with two splashes on Big E but it wasn’t enough. The Usos then busted out two pairs of handcuffs and handcuffed Xavier Woods then strung him up on the ring post while they beat him with kendo sticks.
Big E tried to fight back, but The Usos hit him with double superkicks, then another double splash from the top, but Xavier Woods broke it up.
The Usos then focused their attention on Xavier Woods, and after they beat him down, they placed a chair on his chest then hit him with a double splash from the top rope for the win.
The Usos are now 5 time WWE Tag Team Champions.
