WWE had been advertising a US Title match for Raw, and things took a surprising turn before the bell rang. Bobby Lashley made his way down to the ring for the match and he called out Seth Rollins. However, Brock Lesnar came out instead and hit Lashley with the F5 twice before locking in the Kimura.
When the show returned from the commercial break Bobby Lashley was being tended to at ringside as the commentators questioned if he could compete. Seth Rollins then made his way down to the ring then he got on the mic and taunted Lashley while he told him he’s supposed to be a fighting champion. Rollins told Lashley he’s supposed to a soldier. He called Bobby Lashley a disgrace to his country which caused Lashley to get offended and step into the ring.
Bobby Lashley told the referee to ring the bell and he immediately went for the spear, but Rollins reversed it into the Pedigree. Lashley kicked out, so Rollins hit a frog splash from the top, but Lashley kicked out again.
Rollins continued to attack Lashley and eventually he hit the Stomp which slowed Lashley down. Rollins then followed up with another Stomp and he pinned Bobby Lashley to win the United States Championship. After the match Rollins stood on the announce table and celebrated while the fans sang along to his music.
