This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired live from Nashville, TN and the show featured a big title defense as The Wyatt Sicks challenged The Street Profits for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
The Street Profits made their entrance first followed by The Wyatt Sicks. Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis ended up making their way to the ring as the rest of The Wyatt Sicks watched on from the stage area.
At one point Angelo Dawkins connected with a Swanton on Joe Gacy, but Gacy kicked out. Erick Rowan then approached the ring and started watching the match closely. Gacy tagged in Dexter Lumis and they connected with a double team move on Dawkins for a two count. Lumis then threw Dawkins out of the ring.
Near the end of the match Montez Ford connected with a frog splash on Lumis. He went for the pin as Gacy distracted the referee. Erick Rowan then pulled Ford out of the ring to break up the pin.
Dawkins took out Rowan at ringside as Ford tried to connect with a Frog Splash on Lumis inside the ring. Lumis dodged the frog splash and tagged in Gacy. Ford tried to fight off The Wyatt Sicks on his own. However, the numbers game was too much as Lumis and Gacy hit their double team finisher then Gacy pinned Ford to win the titles.
After the match The Wyatt Sicks celebrated in the ring with the new champions.
