Raw kicked off in a big way this week as Adam Pearce announced that Seth Rollins had been stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He then confirmed that a battle royal would take place on tonight’s show to determine who will face CM Punk for the vacant title at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
As the show rolled on AJ Styles and Dragon Lee made their way out into the arena as they prepared to challenge Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the WWE World Tag Team Championship in the opening match.
It looked like McDonagh and Balor had it won as McDonagh connected with a moonsault on Styles and Balor followed up with Coup De Grace. However, Dragon Lee broke up the pin. Dragon Lee dove over the top rope to take out McDonagh on the outside as Balor and Styles fought inside the ring.
Balor tried to hit AJ with the Styles clash, but he couldn’t get it. AJ rolled out and connected with the Styles Clash on Balor to win the WWE World Tag Team Championship for his team.
