Big Title Change Takes Place On AEW Dynamite

In recent weeks it’s been made very clear that Wardlow had his sights set on the TNT Championship. This week’s episode of Dynamite kicked off with a TNT Championship match which saw Scorpio Sky defend the title against Wardlow in a street fight.

Wardlow dominated the match early on and the fans let him know that they were behind him. However, the numbers game got to Wardlow at one point as America’s Top Team attacked him on the outside of the ring.

Later in the match America’s Top Team interfered again when Wardlow was trying to put Scorpio Sky away with the powerbomb, and Wardlow cleaned house. Scorpio Sky followed up by hitting Wardlow with the TNT Title, but Wardlow kicked out when Sky tried to pin him.

Wardlow then hit Scorpio Sky with three powerbombs and pinned him with a foot on the chest to win the TNT Championship for the first time in his career.
