Big Title Change Takes Place At NXT TakeOver

The NXT brand has been making the most of the coronavirus pandemic, as has the rest of the WWE roster, and on Sunday night the stars of NXT competed at TakeOver: In Your House from the Performance Center in Orlando.

Charlotte Flair defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Rhea Rhipley and Io Shirai in the main event, and in the end it was Io Shirai who walked out with the gold.

Flair had Rhipley in the Figure 8, but Shirai hit a moonsault off the top rope and pinned Rhipley to get the win.

This is Io Shirai’s first reign with the title.
