Impact Wrestling’s biggest show of the year, Bound For Glory, aired on Sunday night, and Johnny Impact challenged Austin Aries for the Impact World Championship in the main event. In the end, it was Johnny Impact who walked out with the gold, as he managed to defeat Aries to win the belt for the first time in his career.
Impact ended up putting Aries away with a brainbuster, followed by starship pain, and after the match was over he celebrated in the ring with Taya Valkyrie.
It was also announced during Bound For Glory that on January 6th, Impact Wrestling will hold a pay-per-view titled Homecoming, and it’s set to take place from the Asylum in Nashville.
