The WWE roster is loaded with talent from up and comers, to professional wrestling veterans, and it looks like a former star is set to return to the company soon.
PWInsider reports that former WWE Women’s Champion Melina recently came to terms on a new contract with the company.
She is currently scheduled to return to WWE programming next week, but it’s not currently known if she’ll be working on Raw or SmackDown.
WWE reportedly had interest in her earlier this year and tried to book her for the 2020 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble match. However, she was under an agreement with NWA at the time.
Melina Perez signed a WWE developmental deal in 2004, and she went on to win the WWE Women’s Championship and the Divas Championship.
She was released from the company in 2011.
Perez last appeared on WWE programming in 2019 when she made a cameo during the Raw reunion episode.
