Two Big Singles Matches And Raw Women’s Title Match Added To WWE Payback, Updated Card

WWE is a never ending cycle of fantastic rivalries and captivating storylines. Sometimes those lines between work and shoot are blurred. We love it when that happens. The Architect Seth Rollins has a huge bone to pick with The Destroyer Samoa Jea. On the Raw after Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins came down to confront Triple H and Joe blindsided Rollins. He not only laid down a brutal beating on Seth, but re-injured his knee.

Many people didn’t know, including Rollins if he would be able to take on Triple H at WrestleMania 33. Seth Rollins and Triple H did end up having their match but it had to be non-sanctioned.

Triple H vs. Seth Rollins actually turned out to be a pretty excellent encounter complete with Stephanie McMahon taking a neat table bump. Stephanie has been using the injury from that spot to take some time off television so she can rest a little easier.

Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe have unfinished business and WWE is giving them a chance to settle some of their beef at Payback. WWE announced that Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe will do battle in a singles match on April 30th. Needless to say, San Jose is going to get a great match.

This is just the newest addition to a card that’s already taking shape to be a great event. The Hardy Boyz will defend their Raw Tag Team Championships against Cesaro and Sheamus at the show and we’re very excited about that.

Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton are scheduled to battle for the WWE Championship in a House Of Horrors match (whatever that is going to be). Neville is also going to be putting his championship on the line as Austin Aries gets another chance at the WWE Cruiserweight Title.

But the match that might be the most exciting one on the card consists of Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. These two former best friends will get a chance to recapture the magic from their WrestleMania 33 encounter for the WWE United States Championship.

It was also announced on Raw this week that Roman Reigns will face off against Braun Strowman, and Bayley will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss at the event.

You can check out the updated card below.
