This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to air live from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL and it will be the final SmackDown of the year.
A few weeks ago Cody Rhodes successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event. After the match Owens hit Cody Rhodes with a package piledriver then Rhodes was stretchered out of the arena.
Cody Rhodes has been off TV since he was attacked by Kevin Owens, but General Manager Nick Aldis has announced that he will finally be addressing the heinous attack tonight on SmackDown.
Aldis also confirmed that Chelsea Green will hold a WWE Women’s United States Championship celebration, and that Bianca Belair, Naomi and Bayley will team up to face Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae.
WWE is currently focusing on the following points for tonight’s show:
