The annual Survivor Series premium live event is getting closer with each passing day and tickets for the show seem to be in demand. WWE has already teased that brand warfare could be an element of Survivor Series this year with tension building between Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.
In the past fans have seen the respective champions of Raw and SmackDown face off at Survivor Series, but there don’t seem to be any plans for the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion to face the WWE World Heavyweight Champion this year.
During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Rhea Ripley confronted WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and offered The Judgment Day’s help to The Visionary. Ripley told Rollins that the group could make sure he has a historic run like The Tribal Chief, but Rollins declared that he doesn’t want to be anything like Roman Reigns.
While some may have taken that as a tease for a possible Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins match it doesn’t appear to be in the cards for Survivor Series this year. Dave Meltzer recently shared an update on plans for The Tribal Chief on Wrestling Observer Radio and reported that the match is not part of WWE’s plan for Survivor Series.
“I can tell you for sure that’s not on this year’s Survivor Series,” Meltzer said.
Roman Reigns is currently set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against LA Knight at Crown Jewel next month, but there’s currently no word on who The Tribal Chief could potentially face at Survivor Series.
