You never know what’s going to happen when you watch professional wrestling, and this week on AEW Dynamite Tony Schiavone appeared in the ring and said that he takes no pleasure in welcoming his next guest. That’s when Adam Cole’s music hit and Cole received a massive pop from the fans in attendance at the Kia Forum.
The fans immediately started to chant “welcome back” as soon as Cole got in the ring. Cole said it’s a good news, bad news situation. He said the good news is he has a whole new appreciation for not just professional wrestling, but life in general. Cole told fans his shoulder was torn to shreds and he had two back to back head injuries. Adam Cole told the fans they were there for him and he read their well wishes. He said they meant the world to him and he’s eternally grateful.
The former NXT Champion then said he has bad news, but it’s not for him, it’s for the AEW locker room because Adam Cole is back. Cole said he’s not going anywhere, and he’s not done yet. He promised fans that one day he will be at the top of the ladder in AEW before dropping the mic as the fans said his name.
Adam Cole has been out of action since the Forbidden Door pay-per-view back in June of 2022. Cole competed in a four way match with the IWGP Heavyweight Championship on the line and he reportedly suffered a concussion that has kept him out of action ever since.
