Big Plans For Baron Corbin, Lucha Underground Star Injured

Baron Corbin recently started a program with Dean Ambrose and it looks like The Lone Wolf will be going after The Lunatic Fringe’s Intercontinental Title. It was noted in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Baron Corbin is a “handpicked star” and he’s likely to win the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania. If he does win the title it will be used as a “stepping stone to being moved to the top of the cards.”

Matt Cross rose to popularity when he was featured in the Backyard Wrestling video series under his then name, M-Dogg 20, which led to him being featured in the video game, “Backyard Wrestling: Don’t Try This At Home.” Cross even popped up on “Tough Enough” but in a very surprising turn of events, he was eliminated in the second week. Cross spent time in ROH, CZW, and was even a talent on the short-lived MTV wrestling show, “Wrestling Society X.”

Cross has found a home in Lucha Underground as of late where is known as Son of Havoc. Unfortunately, he suffered an awful turn of events as it’s being reported that Cross broke his leg during a match on January 13th at a Defy Wrestling show in Seattle after he landed poorly while attempting a moonsault.

It’s not known if Cross will require surgery, but Cross reportedly broke his leg about two-minutes into the match and still worked an unbelievable eight minutes to finish the contest. Matt Cross knew he was hurt after he landed the moonsault, but he had no idea it was broken.

Cross then waited to see if his leg improved on its own so they gave it some time to heal. His leg never turned black-and-blue and didn’t get swollen, however last week he had an X-ray that confirmed his leg is indeed broken.

AJ Styles has come a long way since making his WWE debut. He’s a former WWE Champion and he’s feuded with big names such as Roman Reigns and John Cena, but is AJ being buried? Some people out there seem to think so and we’re talking about it on this week’s episode of Still Real Radio which you can listen to below or on iTunes by clicking here.
