Big things are happening in the WWE women’s division as of late, and we’re only a few weeks removed from the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match. Soon the ladies of Raw will fight for the Women’s Championship inside the Elimination Chamber, and then it’s on to WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
Asuka won the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match, which means she gets to challenge the champion of her choice at WrestleMania 34, but Asuka has yet to officially declare which champion she’ll be facing.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that the current plan for WrestleMania 34 is to feature two Women’s Championship matches which will see Asuka challenge Charlotte Flair for her title, and Nia Jax challenge Alexa Bliss for her title at the Show of Shows.
As for Ronda Rousey, WWE is looking to move ahead with a mixed tag team match which will feature Ronda teaming up with a partner to face off against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
The Rock is at the top of WWE’s wish list in regards to possible partners, but Rock has a busy schedule and is limited in regards to what he can do due to movie contracts.
If The Rock is unable to work the match, then Kurt Angle is said to be the likely Superstar who lands the high profile spot.
Shane McMahon is another name being considered, but he’s currently working a storyline with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
Seth Rollins is another name that’s being discussed, but at this point it doesn’t appear that WWE has anything solid in regards to WrestleMania plans for Rollins, as he was originally penciled in for a match with Jason Jordan before Jordan got injured.
