You never know what could happen in the world of professional wrestling as Tony Khan announced a few weeks ago that he had purchased Ring Of Honor. On Friday night the ROH Supercard of Honor pay-per-view aired live, and it was the first ROH pay-per-view of the Tony Khan era.
Fans saw some familiar faces appear on the show such as Mercedes Martinez, FTR and The Young Bucks, but the surprises didn’t stop there. Former ROH World Champion Samoa Joe made his return to Ring Of Honor, and after the show Tony Khan confirmed Samoa Joe is All Elite. It’s also been confirmed that he will be appearing on Dynamite next week.
Samoa Joe is the longest reigning ROH World Champion of all time with a 645 day reign. Prior to his return at Supercard Of Honor the Samoan Submission Machine last appeared in ROH back in June of 2015. Joe also joined NXT in 2015 and was eventually called up to the main roster in 2017. He was released from WWE back in January. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
