WrestleMania week is quickly approaching, and every wrestling fan knows that the week is jam packed with big events in addition to WrestleMania itself. WWE World is set to emanate from the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV and the event will take place from April 16 through April 20.

WWE World will give fans the chance to meet their favorite superstars, and some big names are being advertised for the event such as Steve Austin, AJ Lee, AJ Styles, CM Punk and Cody Rhodes to name a few.

Originally Kevin Owens was being advertised for WWE World, but his appearance has been canceled. WWE sent out the following email confirming that Owens will no longer be part of the event:

Kevin Owens has been off TV ever since he announced a major neck injury during the April 4, 2025 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Originally KO was set to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 last year before he announced the injury. He was later replaced by Joe Hendry after it was determined that he was unable to compete.

It’s clear that there were many fans who were looking forward to seeing the former Universal Champion at WWE World, but unfortunately it looks like plans have changed. Currently there’s no word on why Owens was pulled from the event.

Owens has been out of action for over a year and it was recently reported that he is set to undergo re-evaluation to see how his recovery is progressing after undergoing neck fusion surgery in July of 2025.

Stay tuned for updates.
