This week on NXT, Rhea Ripley was shown beaten up in the parking lot as Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were walking away. WWE later announced that Ripley suffered a broken orbital bone that will keep her out of action for an undisclosed amount of time.
PWInsider is reporting that the belief among those they’ve spoken to is the injury likely happened during a headbutt spot when Rhea Ripley confronted Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on the October 21st episode of Raw.
The angle that was done on NXT this week to write Rhea Ripley off TV was a late addition to the show. It’s likely that it was filmed for NXT because it was in Orlando where Rhea lives, so she wouldn’t have to travel to do the angle.
It’s also being reported that the former WWE Women’s World Champion has been pulled from the Monday Night Raw taping that’s set to take place in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
As of right now there’s currently no word on when Rhea Ripley could be making her return. Stay tuned for updates on Rhea’s status as they become available.
