AEW kicked off a new era this week Dynamite was simulcast on TBS and MAX for the first time ever. The first simulcast for AEW Collision is set to take place on Saturday when the show airs live from the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, NC. Originally a former world champion was set to make an appearance at the event, but plans have reportedly changed.
PWInsider is reporting that Ric Flair was scheduled for the AEW Collision tapings at one point, but The Nature Boy is no longer expected to appear. It was noted that Ric Flair’s appearance on the show was described as “a cameo.”
The Rock N’ Roll Express will instead be filling the local legends role at the AEW Collision tapings. Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson will also be appearing at the upcoming Dynamite tapings in Knoxville, TN on January 22.
