Big Name Debuts At WWE Backlash, Jacob Fatu Retains US Title

The WWE Backlash premium live event kicked off with a fatal four way match as Jacob Fatu defended the United States Championship against Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre and LA Knight.

The match was action packed as soon as the bell rang. LA Knight dominated early on as he took on all 3 of the other competitors. Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre each got their time to shine and eventually Jacob Fatu finally managed to get the upper hand after he hit Priest with a Samoan Drop on the barricade at ringside.

Fatu then set his sights on Drew McIntyre. Jacob hit a Swanton Bomb on on McIntyre, then LA Knight hit a BFT on Fatu. Damian Priest followed up with South of Heaven on LA Knight, and Drew McIntyre managed to connect with a Claymore on Damian Priest who fell on LA Knight, but Drew broke up the count.

Drew managed to hit LA Knight with Claymore and it looked like he had it won. However, Damian Priest pulled the referee out of the ring while he was counting the pin. The brawled outside of the ring and fell over the barricade.

Jacob Fatu got back in the ring and attacked LA Knight. Drew and Damian continued to brawl throughout the arena. The climbed on top of some crates and Damian Priest put Drew through some tables with the South of Heaven chokeslam. WWE officials rushed out to check on them.

LA Knight placed Jacob Fatu on top of the announce table them climbed to the middle rope. Solo Sikoa appeared and pulled Jacob off of the announce table before LA Knight could jump.

Knight went to attack Solo, but Jeff Cobb appeared out of nowhere and destroyed LA Knight as he slammed him into the ring post. Cobb threw LA Knight into ring as Jacob Fatu got up. Fatu looked confused as he stared at Solo and Jeff Cobb.

Jacob Fatu then got back in the ring, hit a moonsault on LA Knight and pinned him to win the match. After he retained Jacob looked confused. He walked past Cobb and Solo as he left by himself.
