Last week former AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa returned to the road and Fightful Select reports that there was a locker room meeting held for all of the women who were at the TV tapings.
The meeting was reportedly held to ease the tension between Thunder Rosa and the women in the locker room as several relationships had been frayed. People with knowledge of the meeting said Rosa was “making amends” for issues that came up previously.
Some people took issue with Rosa making other women on the roster look like bullies and there were also complaints about her working stiff and sandbagging people. There were some people on the roster who also took issue with Rosa not being on the road with AEW while she was traveling for other work. The legitimacy of her injury was questioned and Rosa publicly addressed the situation.
Thunder Rosa recently announced that she will be doing Spanish language commentary for AEW. People close to the former champion noted that while she’s not cleared yet she is getting closer to returning to the ring.
One member of AEW management noted that the meeting was productive and the hope is that it would be a “clean slate.” Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
